Vegeterian Tips: It s true ladies and gentleman! Certain fast food restaurants are now offering veggie burgers, as well as salads. While most of the salads may come with chicken or meat, you can ask them to leave it off. Just be careful of the dressings, as most have tons of sugar and calories. You also have baked potatoes, or fruit and yogurt options.

Ingredients (use vegan versions):

  • some potatoes
  • Pam (optional)
  • sprinkle generously with dried oregano
  • malt vinegar
  • salt to taste

Directions:

Scrub some potatoes and cut them into wedges lengthwise. Halve them
crosswise if they are an unwieldy size. Arrange the wedges on a baking
sheet, skin side down. Spritz lightly with Pam (olive oil flavor is nice)
and sprinkle generously with dried oregano. The Pam is optional, and is
only used to help the oregano cling. I”ve been meaning to try brushing some
vinegar on the cut sides before adding oregano.

Put the potatoes under the broiler and remove when golden. Sprinkle with
malt vinegar, salt to taste, and serve immediately.

These cook a little faster if you microwave the potatoes a little bit
first. The potatoes should still be firm when you broil them.
